The Ultimate Guide to Bluey Characters

With hundreds of characters, Bluey can be a tricky show to “keepy-uppy” with. From the Heeler Family to all of their various friends, family, and miscellaneous characters, it’s definitely a menagerie of pups in the world of Bluey. To help you get to know them, we’ve compiled a list of the main Bluey characters that continue appearing throughout the series.

Heeler Family

Bandit (Dad)

Bandit is Bluey and Bingo’s dad. He is married to Chilli and works as an archaeologist. Bandit is silly and loves playing games with the girls. He also loves jokes and creating characters like Unicorse and Telemachus.

Bingo

Bingo is Bluey’s little sister. She loves playing games and making up characters with Bluey, like “The Grannies.” Bingo is also known for some iconic phrases in the show, like exclaiming “cheese and crackers” or singing the “Poor Little Bug” song.

Bluey

Bluey is the main, titular character in the show. She is the oldest child of Bandit and Chilli and Bingo’s older sister. She is curious, caring, and emotionally intelligent. She and Bingo are also going to be available aboard certain Disney Cruise Line sailings and at Walt Disney World starting in 2026.

Chilli (Mum)

Chilli is the loving mother to Bingo and Bluey. Married to Bandit, Chilli works in airport security. She loves playing field hockey, spending time with her daughters, and going on adventures with her family.

Extended Family

Grandpa Bob

Grandpa Bob is Bandit, Stripe, and Rad’s dad and is Bluey and Bingo’s grandfather. Bobba is married to Nana Chris, and they live on the Gold Coast.

Brandy

Aunty Brandy is Bingo and Bluey’s aunt and Chilli’s older sister. She likes dancing and teaches the girls a dance she and Chilli did when they were little.

Frisky

Aunt Frisky is Bluey’s godmother and married Uncle Rad. She loves spending playtime with Bingo and Bluey—babysitting them is how she met Rad.

Grandad

Grandad, or Mort, is Chilli and Brandy’s Dad, making him Bluey and Bingo’s other grandfather. He is playful but famously does not understand technology.

Muffin

Muffin is Bluey and Bingo’s younger cousin; her parents are Stripe and Trixie. She is known for her chaotic temper and sass. Muffin loves playing with her cousins and her baby sister, Socks, even if she needs a timeout sometimes.

Nana

Nana Chris is Bandit, Stripe, and Rad’s mom. She’s married to Grandpa Bob and grandmother to Bluey and Bingo. Nana’s famous house rule is that everyone gets what they want when they visit, much to the delight of her grandkids.

Rad

Uncle Rad is Bluey and Bingo’s uncle and Bandit and Stripe’s older brother. Rad used to work on an oil rig, which made him more distant, but now he can see his family more often. He is married to Aunt Frisky.

Socks

Socks is Muffin’s younger sister and baby cousin to Bluey and Bingo. Early in the series, she can’t talk and only barks or makes sounds because she is such a young puppy. She is rambunctious and sweet, and the daughter of Stripe and Trixie.

Stripe

Stripe is Muffin and Socks’ dad and the youngest brother of Bandit and Rad. He is Bluey and Bingo’s uncle who loves barbecuing, having fun, and playing with the kids. Stripe is married to Trixie.

Trixie

Trixie is married to Stripe and is Muffin and Socks’ mom. She is also Bluey and Bingo’s aunt. She loves to play field hockey with Chilli and play with all the kids.

Kids/Friends

Chloe

Chloe is a Dalmatian and one of Bluey’s best friends. Like Bluey, she also has a little sibling (a baby brother) and loves playing pretend with her friends. Her dad, Frank, works as an architect.

Chucky

Chucky is Lucky’s little brother. He and his family (including parents Pat and Janelle) live next to the Heeler family. He loves watching football and dancing.

Coco

Coco is one of Bluey’s friends and has eight older siblings. Because of her large family, she struggles with playing games fairly with her friends. Her mom is Bella, who is friends with Chilli.

Honey

Honey is one of Bluey’s friends from school. She and her parents (Daisy and Marcus) all wear glasses. Honey is often the voice of reason and is a thoughtful kid.

Indy

Indy is one of Bluey’s best friends who loves playing and dancing. Her mom sells treats at the market, and she is strictly on an additive-free diet. Indy can’t eat wheat, gluten, sugar, dairy, and salt, among others.

Jack

Jack is one of Bluey’s friends who also has a little sister whose name is Lulu. He is very wiggly and struggles with sitting still. Jack’s best friend is Rusty.

Judo

Judo and her mother, Wendy, are also next-door neighbors to the Heeler Family. She and Bluey are friends. Judo is sometimes too assertive and struggles to play nicely with Bingo and Bluey, but she tries to be a better friend.

Lila

Lila is Bingo’s best friend. She was shy and nervous before becoming friends with Bingo, who helped her personality shine. Her mom’s name is Sheila.

Lucky

Lucky is the son of Pat and Janelle and the older brother of Chucky, who are all neighbors of the Heeler Family. He is a big football fan and loves playing sports.

Mackenzie

Mackenzie and his family are originally from New Zealand and are fans of rugby. He is friends with Bluey. Mackenzie can be very straightforward and impatient at times.

Missy

Like Lila, Missy is also a shy friend of Bingo’s who is learning to be her best self with her outgoing pal. She is soft spoken as well as emotionally intelligent and considerate.

Pom Pom

Pom Pom is the same age as Bingo and is a small pup with a huge personality. She is playful and has a ton of perseverance.

Rusty

Rusty is one of Bluey’s friends from school and the best friend of Jack. He enjoys playing handyman and fixing things.

Snickers

Snickers is one of Bluey’s friends, and he refers to himself often as a “sausage dog.” He loves playing, especially pretending to be a news reporter. His mom is friends with Chilli, Bella, and Wendy.

The Terriers

The Terriers are a group of triplet pups in Bluey’s class. They love to talk about Scotland and play exciting games.

Winton

Winton is a friend of Bluey’s who is known for not understanding personal space. But he’s always good at making his friends laugh. His parents are divorced, and his dad’s name is Cornelius.

Grown Ups

Calypso

Claypso is Bluey’s teacher. She loves to sing and tell stories to her students, who adore her.

Janelle

Janelle is Chucky and Lucky’s mom and Pat’s wife, who lives with her family next to the Heeler Family. She is a fan of the New South Wales “Blues” and loves watching sports with her family.

Lucky’s Dad

The kids usually refer to Pat as “Lucky’s Dad,” and he lives with his family next door to the Heelers. He and Bandit are good friends and love to be competitive with one another and watch sports together with their families.

Mrs. Retriever

Mrs. Retriever is Bingo’s teacher at school. As the kindergarten (or kindy) teacher, she also had Bluey when she was younger. Mrs. Retriever is the one who introduces the girls to the adventurous Bob Bilby puppet.
