Advanced Dining Reservations Process Changes on My Disney Experience App

This morning when we made reservations for the Garden View Lounge — Tea Experience, we noticed that the My Disney Experience app was redirecting guests to a separate browser for dining reservations.

Advanced Dining Reservations

Typically, advanced dining reservations are made in the app itself. However, this morning (February 19) we were directed to a separate browser, much like the process for making park reservations.

This is likely a change for the process because reservations launched for the Garden View Lounge this morning. Reservations were made as they normally are through the app yesterday, February 18. This change was likely instituted due to demand for the experience.

Reservations opened at 6:30 a.m.—a bit later than usual—and were gone in under an hour. The pre-paid experience is $79/adult and $49/child.

When selecting the + button in the app to make a dining reservation, a screen popped up that reads “Tap the Check Availability button below to check the availability calendar for this and other dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort.” It then directed us to a separate browser not in the app.

We selected our party size, date range, and time frame as normal. When asked about location, you can select from the four theme parks and surrounding resorts in addition to Disney Springs.
