The construction of the Encanto ride building, part of Tropical Americas land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, has reached a milestone. Workers have placed an American flag at the top. This “topping off” tradition signifies that vertical construction has reached its highest point.

Despite this milestone, the structure is still months away from reaching completion.
As Disney prepares for multiple new attractions in a brand new land, construction is progressing on what will be a casita-inspired Encanto ride.
The Encanto ride building has risen rapidly since officially going vertical in December 2025, The attraction’s façade will be inspired by the Casita from the film.
The Encanto attraction will open with the official debut of Tropical Americas in 2027. The land will also feature a carousel.

Work continues in the land as several excavators, additional heavy equipment, and workers can be seen.
