The skyline at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort looks quite different today without the Aerophile balloon in the sky. The balloon area is closed for maintenance.
Aerophile Refurbishment

There has not been an announcement from Disney; however, the Aerophile balloon is nowhere to be seen at its usual spot at Disney Springs. As of this morning, crews were actively working in the area.

It appears that crews are working on something around the base of where the helium balloon usually sits along the water of Lake Buena Vista. It is unclear what exactly they are doing or how long the Aerophile will be out of commission.

There are rolling planters in the area, and an electronic sign states it is closed for maintenance.

As of right now, the operating hours on the Disney Springs website have not changed for today or any days in the future.
