The cinema complex at Disney Village in Disneyland Paris will start its major refurbishment in the second half of 2026.
Gaumont Cinema Complex Refurbishment

Some of its fifteen halls will include full recliner seats after the refurbishment, identical to those at the Pathé Palace. It will adopt both the branding and colors of Pathé, changing the look of the Disney Village entrance. Pathé is the second-oldest film production company, while Gaumont is the oldest. It is currently unknown if the marquee will change its shape significantly. The original building opened in 1997.
Currently, the last listing on the official website of Pathé has a showing on May 28. This venue is the last still operating under the Gaumont name, as Pathé bought the company in 2017 and has been slowly phasing out the name.
This is not the only recent change at Disney Village, as a new McDonald’s location has replaced its original. Last year, Disney Style, Disney Glamour, Petite Rosalie terrace restaurant, Deco by Disney, and a new LEGO Store opened. Italian restaurant Casa Giulia will open by the end of the year, taking over the Planet Hollywood footprint.
Big changes are coming to Disneyland Paris, as it prepares for the grand (re)opening of Disney Adventure World, and the opening of World of Frozen. World of Frozen will include an Anna and Elsa meet and greet inside Arendelle Castle, the Frozen Ever After attraction, a boat show, shopping, dining, and an impressive self-walking, “living” animatronic Olaf.
