The brand-new McDonald’s at Disney Village in Disneyland Paris is now open and the original location is closed. Disneyland Paris announced the new McDonald’s back in 2023.

The final building looks just like the concept art, with balconies and an “M”-shaped topiary near the doors. Disneyland Paris calls it an “ultramodern building, erected according to the highest standards in sustainable construction.”
Disney and McDonald’s invested over €20 million in the new building’s construction. It has three floors, 600 seats (including 200 on outdoor terraces), a panoramic elevator, 23 self-service kiosks, a dual kitchen, five dumbwaiters, and a three-story indoor play area.

The goal of the new design was “to make this restaurant the go-to destination for families in Disney Village, thanks to an experience that is both intuitive and optimized.” The spacious reception area is designed to streamline the ordering process. The location’s employees represent 16 languages to help as many guests as possible. There is an “elegant” McCafé. In addition to self-service kiosks, table ordering is available via QR code and geolocation.
It was also designed to address environmental challenges. It has 250 m² of solar panels, 350 m² of green space on the roof and in planters, and a 120 m² living wall promoting biodiversity and pollination. It’s compliant with RE2020 regulations.
“The opening of a McDonald’s restaurant is always a significant moment for our employees, customers, and partners. But today, we are reaching a new milestone with this restaurant, which showcases all our expertise in France. Our 220 employees are eager to welcome families and visitors from around the world and offer them unforgettable memories in this world of pure enjoyment. I would like to thank the Disney Village teams for this exciting collaboration on a truly unique project,” said Jo Sempels, President and CEO of McDonald’s France.
“Since 1999, Disneyland Paris and McDonald’s have built a relationship grounded in trust and a shared vision of the guest experience. The opening of this new restaurant fully supports the transformation of Disney Village through a landmark project that combines innovative architecture, high-quality hospitality, and seamless integration into the site’s universe. We are proud to continue this journey alongside an iconic, multigenerational brand that is highly valued by our guests, and to sustainably enrich the experience offered to families by making Disney Village an ever more vibrant, welcoming, and inspiring place,” said Boris Solbach, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Disneyland Paris.
75% of the restaurant’s raw ingredients come from French producers.
The former McDonald’s is now permanently closed and will be demolished. DLP Works shared photos of the restaurant surrounded by construction walls.
This is all part of an ongoing reimagining of Disney Village. Last year, Disney Style, Disney Glamour, Petite Rosalie terrace restaurant, Deco by Disney, and a new LEGO Store opened. Italian restaurant Casa Giulia will open by the end of the year, taking over the Planet Hollywood footprint.
