The Affection Section in Animal Kingdom will temporarily close starting February 23, 2026. The current animals will be rehomed once the area closes and Australian animals will move in so guests can pet animals native to Bluey’s home.

The Affection Section calendar on Walt Disney World’s website has been updated to reflect these changes.

In addition, the rest of Conservation Station at Animal Kingdom will also be closing during this time. The closures impact the Wildlife Express Train and Rafiki’s Planet Watch.

Permits have already been filed for Bluey retheming of the area.
