To celebrate the upcoming release of Illumination and Nintendo’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, bubly has launched limited-edition flavors and character-themed packs. The movie releases on April 1, 2026.

There are three new movie-inspired flavors:
- Meteor Melon, an other-worldly watermelon lime
- Cosmic Swirl, a galactic mix of vanilla and berry
- Dragonfruit Stardust, an enchanted mix of pineapple dragonfruit.
They are available in exclusive cans featuring color-changing Lumas when chilled. And, best-selling bubly flavors are also getting a power-up with special-edition themed packs, featuring characters from the film. Fans can look for Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Toad, and Bowser Jr. across specialty packs of Lime, Blackberry, Cherry, Grapefruit and Strawberry—in stores nationwide.
In the lead-up to the film’s release, bubly is hosting a few giveaways as well:
- The bubly Galactic Mission Giveaway: Hidden inside select movie-themed 8-packs of bubly nationwide are 50 bubly Galaxy Cans, the only ones featuring Rosalina. Uncover one to win the ultimate Galaxy Getaway Grand Prize, an all-expenses paid trip for two (2) to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt, FL. Each winning can includes a unique code that unlocks 6,375 Star Bits to send you on a Galaxy Getaway. Giveaway ends May 8, 2026.
- Collectible Star Bits That Unlock Complimentary Movie Tickets and Merch: As part of the bubly Galactic Mission, fans can bank up Star Bits with every film-themed can of bubly, redeemable for movie tickets and exclusive limited-edition merchandise. Each can has a scannable feature that unlocks a random amount of Star Bits, from 1 to 5,000, to collect and redeem until May 8, 2026 .
- More Ways to Win in Theaters: Fans have another chance to win the Galaxy Getaway Grand Prize when they watch the film at select Regal and Marcus Theatres locations and enter the promotion on-site by April 16, 2026.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the second film in the Super Mario franchise, dropped its first full trailer during Super Bowl LX.
The sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie is set to release on April 3, 2026. The first film’s directors, Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, and writer Matthew Fogel, are all returning, as are the voice cast from the first with the addition of Brie Larson as Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr. The film also introduces Yoshi, Mario’s beloved dinosaur sidekick.
The film is based on the Super Mario Galaxy games, both of which are available for the Nintendo Switch with Mario and Rosalina Amiibo figures.
