Creamy Mentaiko Sauce Coming to Tokyo Disney Resort

As teased on Instagram yesterday, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced a fourth flavor joining its sauce packets available across the parks.

Creamy Mentaiko Sauce – ¥110

Starting March 9, the fourth packet will be available at Tokyo Disneyland, while it will debut at Tokyo DisneySea starting April 8. The packet will cost the same as the other three currently available (Spicy Harissa, Garlic Shrimp, and Black Spicy)—roughly exchanging to $0.72—although the exchange rate with the Japanese Yen is subject to change. The description on the official page reads “Creamy Mentaiko Sauce”, although the packet itself reads “Creamy Spicy Pollock Roe Sauce.”

It will be available at both quick-service locations and several popcorn carts, as Tokyo Disney has introduced the idea of adding these sauce packets to your popcorn for a unique flavor.

The Tokyo Disney Resort is known for its unique and sometimes odd popcorn flavors, including Roast Beef, Caramel & Cheese, Cookie Cream, and Strawberry Milk. Unique flavors like the Garlic-Scallop & Butter Popcorn are offered for festivals such as the Tokyo DisneySea Food and Wine Festival. Now, guests will be able to try unique flavors on buttered popcorn or combine flavors with the sauce packets.

Tokyo Disney Resort recently released the theme song for the 25th anniversary of Tokyo DisneySea, as well as food menus and merchandise for its third installment of the Food and Wine Festival. In Tokyo Disneyland, a sign with a reference to Song of the South was recently removed.
