Disney Wins Two Toy of the Year Awards, Highlights New Toys

Last weekend, Disney won two awards at Toy Fair New York and highlighted several new toys coming out this year. Many are in conjunction with upcoming major motion pictures.

Toy Awards

At Toy Fair New York, Disney walked away with two big awards: Doll of the Year and Plush Toy of the Year. The American Girl Disney Moana Collection from Mattel won the Doll category, while the Disney Stitch Ultimate Stitch Interactive Feature Plush from Just Play won the Plush Toy category.

“Having both the American Girl Disney Moana Collection by Mattel and the Ultimate Stitch Interactive Feature Plush by Just Play honored at the TOTY Awards is a testament to the enduring strength of Disney storytelling,” said JoAnn McLaughlin, SVP of Licensed Product Design & Development, Disney in a statement, “These awards highlight how thoughtful character‑driven design can deepen emotional connection and create products that feel truly special for fans and families alike.”

Upcoming Toy Releases

Dubbed the Blockbuster Season, Disney also highlighted several new toys that coincide with its upcoming theatrical releases. These include toys from Disney Princesses and Pixar to Star Wars and Marvel characters.

Droid Factory BDX Droids (Disney Store & Disney Parks) 

The droid action figure four pack comes in red, orange, blue, and green, matching the live droids found in Disney Parks around the globe and Disney Cruise Line.
