Disneyland Boasts 1.5 Million More Rides in 2025 with Better Focus on Attraction Reliability

Disneyland boasts that its focus on attraction reliability has proven to be effective. There were 1.5 million more rides this past year.

Natalie Katzka, Director of Attractions Engineering Services at the Disneyland Resort, made several statements about increasing guest satisfaction at the Resort.

To increase guest satisfaction, Disneyland Resort is focusing on attraction reliability, focusing effort on an increased uptime at attractions. According to Natalie Katzka, 1.5 million more rides were obtained during the fiscal year of 2025.

There are 3 types of maintenance:

  1. Overnight safety and reliability
  2. Response maintenance (during park day)
  3. Scheduled refurbishment

For example, in December 2025, Radiator Springs Racers operated with the maximum number of cars most of the time.

They are also working on capacity by improving functionality at loading and unloading platforms. With behind-the-scenes changes, Space Mountain is handling more guests per hour, and Indiana Jones Adventure should be next.

Part of this initiative is the running of four trains simultaneously at the Disneyland Railroad, something we reported late last year.

They are also making clearer and better signage at some attractions to help guests load faster and safer, such as changes at Incredicoaster and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, where the usage of phones on the ride was recently restricted. 13% of all downtime is caused by guest behavior, such as dropping phones, jumping out, standing, etc.

We know that being able to enjoy more attractions in a day plays a big role in how guests feel about their visit. Work behind the scenes to care for our attractions is one of the most important ways we can invest in making the guest experience the best it can
be.”
