Join us for a tour of a Standard 2 Queen Bed room at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This luxury hotel offers direct access to Disney California Adventure with a private gate.

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel – Standard 2 Queen Bed
Entry

There’s an alcove next to the door the perfect size for a few suitcases. On the wall is a series of pegs for hanging coats or bags.

The “Room Occupied” door hanger features Bambi and his mother.

A square light fixture on the ceiling has dark framing and off-white frosted panes.

Of course, like the hotel at large, everything in this room is craftsman-style. The closet has double doors with a wood finish, two mirrors, and intricate metal handles.

Inside, you’ll find extra bedding, a built-in safe, a luggage rack, several hangers, a laundry bag, an ironing board, and an iron. We appreciate there’s a built-in closet light.

There are two white bathrooms with Grand Californian embroidery. You can’t take these home but you can buy similar robes in the gift shop. There are also two pairs of plain white slippers — also not for the taking.
Bathroom

Our only complaint about this room is that the vanity mirror doesn’t feel thematic. It’s very functional with the built-in lighting but doesn’t match the rest of the room.

The vanity has two sinks in a marble countertop. Below are two cubbies, where you’ll also find the hair dryer, extra toilet paper, and mats. Below the vanity is a trash can and a basket for dirty towels.

We love the stool with Mickey cutouts on the sides.

A beautiful autumnal painting in a golden frame hangs on the wall next to the adjustable make-up mirror.

With H2O+ phased out, there are some new amenities since our last visit. To fill out the space, Disney has placed a potted plant on the amenities tray. The shower cap and vanity kit come packaged in Grand Californian boxes. There’s Disney-branded bath soap and Lather moisturizer.

A dental kit and mouthwash also come in Grand Californian packaging. These were sitting on a counter above the sinks.

The toilet and shower room are separated from the vanity with a sliding wood door that locks from the inside. There’s art above the toilet resembling retro orange fruit labels packed with Disney references. The wallpaper has a circle pattern.

The tiling is consistent across the floor around the toilet and shower. The tile work and color scheme feel right for the resort. There’s a slight step up into the shower, which has a glass door. Inside is a large shaving ledge. It has a rainfall shower head and detachable shower head.

The mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feature the Grand Californian logo but are the same amenities you’ll find at all U.S. Disney resorts.
Coffee Station and Workspace

Outside the restroom is the coffee station, with its own light above. There’s a glass shelf with the ice box, glasses, and branded coasters. The coffee machine on the marble countertop is Keurig. There’s a drawer of coffee supplies.

Behind a mesh cabinet door is the mini fridge.

The marble continues across the desk and dresser. There’s a full-back chair and a trash/recycling can. There’s another mirror above.

Above the desk are four regular outlets pointed in different directions and two USB ports.

A stained glass lamp sits on the desk, along with the in-room dining information placard.
Living and Sleeping Space

Above the dresser is a flat screen TV and another set of outlets. This time, it’s two standard outlets and four USB ports.

The dresser has six large drawers.

The carpeting has a blue-green woodsy design. The two queen beds are on lifted frames so there is storage space underneath.

They have beautiful wood headboards with two built-in reading lamps above each bed. These lamps are controlled individually with buttons on their bases.

We love the orange tree mural in between the beds, which is painted on the wall and continues onto a wood element.

Chip is rolling an orange down a branch on the wall while Dale is hanging on an orange in the woodwork.

The side table has a drawer and large cubby.

The bedding is white but the sheets do have a leafy pattern.

On the table is the phone, in-room dining menu, notepad and pen, and alarm clock with wireless charging capabilities.

On the wood panel are another four standard outlets and four USB ports.

This art features the birds from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at a vineyard. It’s a triptych with a stained glass style of illustration, housed in a wooden frame.

Next to the dresser is a brown sofa with a pair of pillows. This is not a pull-out couch. On the wall is artwork of an orange grove and mountains.
Balcony

A sheer curtain with floral elements hangs across the sliding glass doors. There’s also a blackout curtain.

Outside are two chairs and a small round table. We were in a corner room, which doesn’t have much of a view and is right next to a common area, but there are some beautiful trees.
