A new How NOT to Draw short starring Figment will premiere on the Disney Channel Animation YouTube channel in March. It will mark his first mainstream media appearance.

The video will be released on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, which is just two days before his birthday on March 5. No other information about the short has been announced.

There have been rumors and announcements suggesting a Figment TV series is in the works. In 2022, a Figment film was in development from Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures with Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit (Pokémon Detective Pikachu) attached as writers. But Disney CEO Bob Iger ignored this potential film when asked about a Figment movie in early 2025 and said he would talk to Disney’s creative teams about a series or short-form videos.
