In a recent interview with In Depth with Graham Bensinger, former Disney CEO Michael Eisner opened up about his thoughts on Disney park prices.
Eisner On Park Tickets

Eisner, who departed his role as CEO in September 2005, talked about the positive aspects of change, particularly in management, because it allows the company to grow. However, he also pointed to changes in expenses, specifically how pricey theme park tickets are now.
“I’m not wild about the fact that it is so expensive now to go to Disneyland or Walt Disney World,” he said. “I’m not wild about the fact that it’s harder than ever to have everybody be a VIP at a Disney park [because] they’re selling certain things.”
Park prices increased again at Walt Disney World in the fall of 2025.
For reference, a one-day pass at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World today (February 12, 2026) is $119, and Disneyland Park is $169. According to the Leesburg Daily Commercial, 2005 Magic Kingdom one-day tickets were $59.75, and KTLA notes Disneyland one-day tickets in 2005 were $56.
