Disney filed a permit for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, presumably for the park’s upcoming refurbishment. Due to cold weather, Typhoon Lagoon has closed several times in recent weeks. It will close for the season after February 14 and Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will reopen on February 15.

Typhoon Lagoon Refurbishment

The permit was filed by Facility Asset Management, which usually handles general maintenance rather than thematic changes. It contracts Bo-Mar Scenic & Design for “General Construction” and expires in one year.

Typhoon Lagoon will reopen by May 26 to operate simultaneously with Disney’s Blizzard Beach for Cool Kids’ Summer through September 8. During these dates, guests staying at a Disney Resorts hotel can enjoy free admission to a water park on their check-in day.
