RUMOR: Opening Timeframe for Bluey Experience & Australian Animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Rafiki’s Planet Watch is officially closed as Disney prepares for the new Bluey experiences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While they have remained tight-lipped about the opening timeframe, cast members have reportedly shared the news with guests.

Wildlife Express Train and Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are temporarily closed to prepare for the arrival of Bluey and Bingo. The characters from the hit Australian children’s show Bluey will meet, dance, and play in Conservation Station, while Australian animals will appear at Affection Section. Take a final look at the area.

While we are not 100% sure when the experience will debut because Disney has not shared that yet, cast members have reportedly shared that news with guests. On the final day of the Wildlife Express train before its temporary closure (Sunday, February 22), they told guests on the train it would reopen in about three months.

Bluey and Bingo

This would put the reopening timeframe at around Memorial Day. The day after Memorial Day marks the start of Cool Kids’ Summer, so it makes sense Disney World would want the Bluey experiences to debut with this.

Soarin’ Across America will also debut by Memorial Day on May 25, 2026 in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. This new adventure will showcase the United States from sea to shining sea, highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes. Like other versions of Soarin’, it will include a special score and scents.
