Disney filed three construction permits for kiosks and carts in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, located near the land’s boardwalk. The permits could be for general maintenance, but they could also be connected to nearby construction of Piston Peak National Park, a Cars-themed addition to Frontierland.
Frontierland Kiosk Construction

All three permits contract the Disney-owned Buena Vista Construction Company to “Provide labor, materials and/or electrical for construction” at Westward Ho (a beverage kiosk), Big Al’s (a merchandise kiosk), and the churro wagon cart. They all expire in one year.

Above is an overview of the area from Central Florida Tourism Oversight District. The three small pink high-lighted buildings along the boardwalk are Westward Ho, the churro cart, and Big Al’s. Not seen in this old aerial photo are the construction walls that line the Frontierland boardwalk, separating it from the former Rivers of America site.
Though the boardwalk is expected to remain with construction of Piston Peak National Park, it’s possible the kiosks could be moved, demolished, or see other changes to open up the area.
Piston Peak National Park Concept Art

The kiosks aren’t visible in concept art (above) or the “fun map” (below) for Piston Peak National Park. But there are plenty of trees in the art that could be hiding them. Concept art is also not always a 100% accurate depiction of the final product and plans are subject to change.

Here’s a close up of the fun map on the Frontierland boardwalk sans kiosks:
Recent aerial photos reveal a potential Cars ride track under construction. The area will include an off-road rally race ride and a family attraction.
