Toy Story Midway Mania, one of the most popular attractions at Disney California Adventure, is closing for refurbishment for an unknown duration starting in April.

According to the Disneyland calendar, Toy Story Midway Mania is closing for refurbishment beginning April 6, 2026. This is as far out as the calendar currently goes, so we cannot see how long it will be unavailable.

The refurbishment appears to be for routine maintenance. A recently filed permit indicates that the mounted projector needs replaced and electrical work needs to be completed.

Toy Story Midway Mania was last updated in May 2025 with special “holographic sticker” targets and graphics as part of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration. The anniversary is scheduled to end on August 9, 2026, at which point we presume the ride will revert to its original version.
