While visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World, we spotted several new, woodcarved benches around the Africa area of the park.

New Benches in Africa

These new benches are blond wood with intricate carvings all around them. The bottom front has four-petal flower-shaped carvings as well as triangles and arrows. On the back rest are triangle-framed squares and diamond-pattern carvings.

The arm rests curve downward, almost like the way a bent human arm would curve. The sides of the benches carry the same four-petal flower shape and triangle framing as the front.

These benches provide more seating for guests, while not compromising on the theme and aesthetic of the area.
