A sizable new dedicated seating area has opened up at Disney California Adventure. Guests making their way through Avengers Campus can enjoy a moment of rest in this new seating section.
Additional Seating for Pym Test Kitchen
Located directly opposite the queue for Guardians of the Galaxy –Mission: BREAKOUT!, the new area appears to be an extension of seating and table options for the adjacent Pym Test Kitchen quick service location. The umbrellas, seats, and elements of theming suggest as much, although the area remains open for guests to enjoy broadly.
Some themed pipework along the backwall of the seating area includes two utility pipes – one red, one blue – with graphics that reinforce the Ant Man theming. The pipes feature illustrations of Pym Particle Discs alongside arrows implying the inflow and outflow, respectively, of Pym Particles that enable the culinary creations of Pym Test Kitchen.
Interestingly, the area blends theming from Avengers, besides Ant-Man and his cohorts. Iron Man and Tony Stark’s Stark Industries are referenced by way of signs along the same walls stating “Stark stars with SAFETY”. The signs perhaps more accurately connect to Howard Stark, judging by the retro style of the design.
As of writing, the area is not yet reflected on park maps on the Disneyland app or website. The area was previously only occupied by the upright overhanging structure with a few benches underneath. The new arrangement brings much greater capacity to this corner of the park, particularly for guests of Pym Test Kitchen.
