A new show featuring Cookie Monster and Grover from Sesame Street alongside the Blues Brothers will debut at Universal Studios Japan later this month as part of the park’s 25th anniversary celebration.
The Ultimate Blues Bash – Rainbow Music
The Ultimate Blues Bash will be a musical show on the Sesame Street stage in the park’s New York area. It will begin performances on March 27, 2026. Though the show hasn’t begun, we got to see the characters during a media event.
Cookie Monster and Grover are dressed in blue versions of the Blues Brothers’ suits. They’re joined on stage by Jake and Elmwood to discover the “blues” and step into a new world of music.
The brothers will also have a meet and greet with their Bluesmobile beginning on March 27. This marks the first appearance by the Blues Brothers at Universal Studios Japan in 17 years.
The Universal Studios Japan 25th anniversary “Discover U!!!” celebration runs through March 30, 2027.
