Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a new executive chef who will have a hand in all 13 food and beverage locations at the resort, including the MICHELIN-starred Victoria & Albert’s.

New Executive Chef at Disney’s Grand Floridian

Matthew Sowers has more than 20 years of experience at Victoria & Albert’s, working his way through the ranks as a chef and, most recently, the chef de cuisine. Sowers is now taking over as the executive chef for all food and beverage locations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, including Victoria & Albert’s.

Miguel Santeliz will take over as chef de cuisine with three years of experience at Victoria & Albert’s. In the past, he had worked at several locations across The Walt Disney World Resort, including Trattoria al Forno, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Topolino’s Terrace. During his three years of experience, the restaurant earned Disney’s first-ever MICHELIN star. It remains the first and only restaurant owned and operated by a U.S. theme park to hold a MICHELIN star.

Victoria & Albert’s opened in 1988. In 2022, it was refurbished and received a refreshed menu. It offers two curated tasting menus of “exquisite culinary creations” made with fresh, sustainable ingredients.

The Victoria & Albert’s menu shifts seasonally, so returning guests always get a new, unique experience. The courses are inspired by the culinary team’s travels, cultural backgrounds, and personal stories.
