First Concrete Poured in Piston Peak National Park at Magic Kingdom

Crews have begun pouring concrete for Piston Peak National Park, a new Cars area under construction at Magic Kingdom. The concrete is being poured in the concrete forms aerial photographer @bioreconstruct captured photos of last month.

Several concrete mixer trucks visited the construction site on Monday morning, and a concrete boom pump was used to pour the mixture.

The image below is an Aerial photo courtesy of Bioreconstruct that we reported on two weeks ago. In this image, you can see the wooden concrete forms and rebar being prepared for the concrete that is now being poured.

The Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island closed permanently last summer to be demolished and transformed into both Piston Peak National Park, as part of Frontierland and Villains Land.

On the other side of the boardwalk, Westward Ho and Big Al’s will close permanently soon and construction walls will shift forward.
