Fortnite Users Will Soon Be Able to Make Their Own Star Wars Content

Starting this week, Fortnite users will be able to design and launch their own Star Wars content within the game.

Fortnite Developers teased the release on social media.

With Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) — a version of Unreal Engine — users can design, develop, and publish content directly into Fortnite.

Disney and Fortnite developer Epic Games entered a partnership in 2024 when Disney invested $1.5 billion in Epic Games. Disney Parks came to Fortnite last year.

Sean Shoptaw, Executive Vice President of Disney Games and Digital Entertainment, recently said the storytelling potential of Fortnite is a key avenue to connect with younger audiences.

The Disney Games segment of the company is moving from the Disney Experiences division to Disney Entertainment, coinciding with the restructuring and expansion of Disney Entertainment under incoming president and chief creative officer Dana Walden.
