Groundwork Intensifies at Piston Peak National Park Construction Site as Dirt Piles Stack Up Across Site

A lot of new dirt has arrived at the future site of Piston Peak National Park in Magic Kingdom. Since our last look at the construction site, new piles of dirt have popped up all over the place.

At the base of a hill near The Haunted Mansion are several piles of dirt. Some piles are much darker than others, indicating they may have been more recently moved or turned up.

The fresh dirt may be used to flatten the land. This space used to be Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America. All signs of the old attractions were removed, including trees.

Another pile of dirt is near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which is going through a refurbishment. Beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is where the Disney Villains Land will go.

Piston Peak National Park will be an extension of Frontierland. It will include two attractions, including an off-road rally race ride, plus shopping and dining.
