The new seating area in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios now has canopies to keep guests shaded from the sun and other weather. The seating area opened in mid January, but crews have continued to add to the space.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Seating Area
Light fixtures and the first pieces of shade canopy frames were installed in February. These frames have grown, becoming three wide structures. Fans were installed just yesterday, March 5.
There are three canopies covering the majority of the space in the seating area. They are a light tan color to blend with the theming of the area. Tables and chairs and bench seating are available.

The fans and canopies will make this a nice cool spot to relax during the summer.
