Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Bluey Crossover in New Disney+ Short

Disney Jr. shared a new original animated short that showcases a truly Avengers-esque crossover of children’s entertainment.

The Sensational Six and the Heeler Family Come Together in New Short

In the new original animated short shared by Disney Jr. and Disney Kids, we find Mickey (of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse variety) awaiting a “surprise” from Toodles, the handy clubhouse helper.

Toodles activates a portal for Mickey that first shows as multicolored with some accompanying upbeat music. The music takes a shift towards a familiar sound as Mickey pokes the portal and the portal itself turns blue.

Mickey leaps through portal, falls for a brief moment and lands among none other than the Heeler family from Bluey.

Specifically, he appears to have landed right in the middle of their usual intro sequence for episodes of Bluey – and he proceeds to join in on their game of musical statues.

As the video progresses, more members of the Clubhouse (namely the Sensational Six) join the fray and dance along with the gang, each getting their own exclamatory introduction just like Bluey and her family in the course of their intro.

In a clever, silent detail after Goofy’s introduction, he walks over to join Chilli (Bluey’s mother), Bingo (Bluey’s younger sister), and Bandit (Bluey’s father). As he joins them, Bandit gives Goofy a knowing look and the two exchange a quick high-five.

The fact that Goofy and Bandit are the only two with this unique kind of direct interaction seems to be a nod to their hidden character connection: they’re both dads. Dog dads, more specifically.

The dance sequence continues along with the theme music as the rest of the gang is introduced, including Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Pluto, and eventually, Mickey before ending the short on the full Bluey title card, alongside Mickey himself.

Both Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Bluey are available to stream on Disney+. The special crossover short is likely a promotion for both shows in addition to the new Bluey offerings that have just arrived at Disneyland Resort, which you can learn more about below.

‘Bluey’s Best Day Ever!’ at Disneyland Resort

Bluey's Best Day Ever! sign at Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park

Exclusive to Disneyland, “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” is a live stage show at the Fantasyland Theatre that debuted just this past week as a new park offering introduced during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration.

The show centers on Bluey and Bingo appearing onstage in short rotating musical moments throughout the day, alongside performers and musicians who host interactive games, dances, and music inspired by the animated series.

Bluey, the original show, is an Australian animated preschool series created by Joe Brumm and internationally distributed by Disney. The series follows Bluey, a young Blue Heeler dog, and her family — particularly her sister Bingo — as ordinary home life turns into imaginative play-based adventures.

The series premiered in 2018 and has over-time become massively popular for its short episodes, family-centered storytelling, and appeal to both children and adults.
