Bluey has taken over the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park with “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” See all the photos and watch the full video of the show.

To note, there are two versions of “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” that perform on a rotating basis. This article talks about Show 1, which includes Unicorse and The Grannies.

Entrance

The entrance to Fantasyland Theatre is decorated with a “Fun Fair” medallion and a sign saying, “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” with Bluey in the center.

The bottom half of the support beams is “painted” yellow, purple, blue, and pink; paint cans with paintbrushes are on the ground next to the right beam.

You’ll see the Heeler Family car, Bobo, parked in front of the theater. There is a stack of “keepy uppy” red balloons netted on the top of the car.

A Bluey’s Best Day Ever sign is perched above the window of the front, wooden building. A blue butterfly is shown flying across the front. Each side of the building has a poster sign on it. On the right is a rainbow with crowns that reads “Please welcome your new queen!” The other has a treat and a chef’s hat on it; the sign reads: “Où est la discothèque?” This translates to “where is the disco?”

Outside the theater is a large class portrait of Bluey and all her friends, as well as her teacher, Calypso. Bluey is seen in the center of the portrait, sitting next to Mackenzie, Rusty, Honey, and The Terriers.

Another entrance section has a map of the Fun Fair. This includes the location of the class photo, Bobo the car, and Troubadour Tavern.

Stage

The stage and surrounding decor elements are designed to look like Bluey’s school, Glasshouse Primary School. There is a large door in the center and two windows on each side. Behind the school, the stage is set to look like the outside of Bluey’s school, with trees, grass, and other foliage. There is a blue backdrop to look like the sky.

The floor in front of the stage looks like a field of lush grass.

Rusty and Jack are seen at the side of the stage, snacking on a box of popcorn.

Shrubbery cutouts flank either side of the stage, making the audience feel as though they are in the yard of the school.

About “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!”

There is a short, ten-minute pre-show before the show itself, where the band plays while Bluey and Bingo dance with their castmates.

This preshow sequence ends with the Bluey theme song. Images of Mum (Chilli) and Dad (Bandit) appear on screens on either side of the stage when it gets to their part of the song.

Bluey and Bingo appear in front of the school with Fun Fair decorations behind them. From time to time, characters appear on the screens beside the stage when they are introduced, like Calypso, Bluey’s teacher.

As the show begins, Unicorse is introduced to begin the festivities. Unicorse is set to tell a story entitled “The Royal Adventure.” Bluey and Bingo take turns playing Queen and tell the Princess she must leave to help find them food and navigate some fairytale hijinx.

Scenes are often bookended by dance or music sequences.

Bingo and Bluey also appear as The Grannies (Rita and Janet, respectively) at one point in the show. Muffin appears on screen as Granny Gladys. The Grannies and their castmates host another dance party.

The Grannies bid farewell and more dancing commences with Bluey and Bingo back as their usual selves.

While red keepy-uppy balloons are carried in front of the stage, balloon versions of Bluey’s classmates appear as well. We spotted Indy, Jack, Mackenzie, and Rusty joining in on the fun.

As the show draws to a close, the Bluey theme song plays again, and two of the castmates release tiny bubble clouds into the audience.

Other Bluey Activities

Other than the show, guests can get their photo taken at several photo ops with other Bluey characters and replica props from the show.

To the left side of the stage are dog garden gnome figures gathered in the Gnome Village. The village appears to be homemade for the school’s Fun Fair.

Around the gnomes are little details like their houses and flowers from the garden, which are taller than they are.

On the other side, in front of the stage, is the Fairy Garden. In this section, there is a bonfire set piece, a floral arch, and fairy homes.

These intricate pieces look almost like they are made from balloons, particularly the bonfire and the flower house.

Interactive Barky Boats are also inside the theater for audience members to enjoy.
