The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has been having some technical issues today, March 16. Our WDWNT reporter has confirmed it might only be operating later in the day, if at all.
Peoplemover Down

The queue for the beloved Tomorrowland attraction remained empty this morning, as several cast members were seen sitting near the seating area of The Lunching Pad. Our reporter overheard someone say there may be an issue with the ride’s central turntable. When our reporter passed by the PeopleMover a few hours later, it was still not running.
At time of publication (1:00 p.m.), it is still temporarily closed.

Found in the middle of Tomorrowland, the PeopleMover is one of Walt Disney’s progressive projects originally created for the 1964–1965 World’s Fair. The concept stemmed from the desire to devise a new method of city transit that could accommodate passengers as they traveled to their destinations.
Magic Kingdom’s version of the attraction has you boarding magnetic levitation (maglev) vehicles which, through a series of linear induction motors (LIMs), are propelled through a fairly long and relaxing course throughout Tomorrowland. Not only is there plenty of scenery to take in, the PeopleMover allows you access to two very special views that no other attraction provides.
Scott Christopher, the voice of ORAC-5, recently posted a video of himself on social media riding the PeopleMover at Disney World.
