Roku announced new licensing partnerships with The Walt Disney Company, Sony Pictures, and Warner Bros. Discovery, bringing a new slate of films to ad-free streamer Howdy.
Howdy x Disney

Roku’s Howdy, their first subscription video-on-demand service, launched last summer for just $2.99/month. Along with Roku Originals, the launch included nearly 10,000 hours of content from partners including Lionsgate and Warner Bros. Discovery.
According to Cord Cutters News, their content library is expanding to include even more flicks. Howdy will offer a rotating selection of Disney films each month. They will also introduce Sony Pictures movies and 2025 – 2026 Warner Bros. Discovery releases.
Howdy is designed to complement rather than directly compete with higher-tier streaming services, focusing on affordability and uninterrupted play.
