Scaffolding and scrim have been installed very recently at the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The scaffolding has been installed behind the Millennium Falcon that is placed outside the attraction. Here’s a closer look:
The scaffolding has tan scrim surrounding it on a little under half of the surface area. A flat surface up near the top could possibly mean crews are needing up at the top for whatever work needs to be completed.
The scrim does not cover the back side of the scaffolding, as seen above.
Disney hasn’t mentioned anything regarding the attraction, and we doubt the ride would need to close to complete whatever needs done.
There will be a new mission overlay coming soon featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu. Guests can enjoy the new experience on both coasts on May 22, 2026, alongside the release of the film, “The Mandalorian and Grogu.”
