Scrim has been removed from one of the columns that support the shade structures for the seating at the quick-service location. The project began over 4 years ago.
Scrim Removed at Woody’s Lunchbox

We have been following the lack of covered shade areas in Toy Story Land for over four years. Work began in early 2022 to add new roof structures to the seating area of Woody’s Lunch Box. Despite this start date, however, progress on the structures was extremely slow, and the first new roof only opened to guests in April 2025.

As of May 31, 2025, the front half of the new roof structure opened, although two parts of the pillars upholding the roof structure were still covered in scrim. One has finally been removed, giving us a look at one of the beams, consisting of a closed wooden box of dominoes, with added details on one side. The second pillar remains covered.

Pictured above is what it looked like on the left for almost a year, while the picture on the right shows the second pillar, still covered in scrim for now.
Disney and Pixar released a new clip from Toy Story 5 during the Annual Meeting of Shareholders last week, while new Lotso blind boxes made their way into Disney Springs earlier this week.
When do you think the last of the scrim will be removed? Let us know on social media!
