Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Downtime

We have been documenting the “Wall of the Resistance” — a row of cast members blocking the ride’s entrance and informing guests it’s unavailable. We saw the wall in the morning on March 25, 26, and 27.

On Friday, March 27, Rise of the Resistance did open for Early Entry exclusive to hotel guests. But went down quickly and was not open by 9:50 a.m. (at time of writing).

Some downtime for Rise of the Resistance is not unusual, but it’s been having a difficult couple of weeks, according to Thrill Data. The graph above shows the total downtime each day for the past month. Since March 8, it has had downtime nearly every day, and over an hour of downtime on 10 days. The unavailability has mostly been in the mornings and evenings.

It was down for a total of 175 minutes (almost 3 hours) on Wednesday, March 25 and 326 minutes (5 1/2 hours) on Thursday, March 26.

Wait time data shows the ride opened on Wednesday, March 25 at about 11 a.m. On Thursday, March 26 it reopened briefly at 10 a.m. before going back down. It resumed operations around 1 p.m.
