The steady progress on Disneyland’s Coco boat ride continues as several trees have been cleared from the site in preparation for construction.
Trees Cleared from Coco Construction Site

The latest update on the Coco ride construction reveals that a significant number of trees have been cleared from the site.

This is clearly seen in this side-by-side of photos taken on February 26 (left) and March 10 (right).

The remains of the mulched trees are piled up in the access road alongside a cherry picker and an excavator. The tree stumps are visible in the foreground; their removal will presumably happen soon.

Nearby is a pile of what appears to be camouflage netting with installation poles. This may be installed over the perimeter fence around the attraction, which received its first solid panels in February.

The palm trees and other landscaping adjacent to the ride remain for now. While the palm trees will presumably remain as they are outside the perimeter fence along Disneyland Drive, we’re guessing the landscaping will also eventually be removed.

Coco Ride

The Coco ride remains fairly vague in its concept. Disney has only shared that guests will follow Miguel into the Land of the Dead, hear some of the movie’s iconic music, and see skeletal Audio-Animatronics characters. The only piece of revealed concept art indicates it will be a boat ride, and the construction site shows it will be part of Pixar Pier, located behind the Incredicoaster.
