The Universal Studios Hollywood 25th anniversary celebration kicked off this Tuesday with a special ceremony featuring characters, performers, and park leaders. The celebration runs from March 4, 2026, through March 30, 2027.

Beetlejuice and the Deacon from WaterWorld helped introduce the ceremony. It took place in the park’s Hollywood section in front of a parade float.


Various characters then arrived. These included Elmo from Sesame Street and Gunter from Sing. They were carrying umbrellas because of some rain on the kick-off day.

Woody Woodpecker made an appearance. Super Nintendo World was represented by Mario Kart dancers.


Hello Kitty and Snoopy joined Elmo in representing Universal Wonderland, a kids-themed area of Universal Studios Japan. Minions in party hats represented Minion Park.

The ceremony finished with some dancing and confetti. Watch the entire performance below.
