VIDEO: Self-Walking, “Living” Animatronic Olaf in World of Frozen Show at Disney Adventure World

Disney has unveiled a self-walking, living character of Olaf the snowman from Frozen in World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris. Olaf was brought to life through cutting-edge animatronics technology.

The Olaf living character is the latest entry in the now decades-long history of walk-around robotics characters at Disney Parks, beginning with Lucky the Dinosaur in the 2000s and continuing through to the Star Wars BDX droids of recent years.

Olaf can even have his arms and nose detached, making him very lifelike.

He will not actually walk around World of Frozen in Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris for now, as that appeared to have been for media only. Instead, he appears during A Celebration in Arendelle, a show which takes place in Arendelle Bay.
