Construction Walls Added Near Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland Boardwalk for Piston Peak Construction

New walls have been added in Frontierland in anticipation of expanding the Cars-themed Piston Peak National Park construction area at Magic Kingdom. Piston Peak replaces the former Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America.

Walls Added for Piston Peak Construction

The construction walls can be found in Frontierland near the boardwalk. The walls are brown and stretch partway down the walkway behind an ice cream cart.

The construction walls are decorated with several signs that have quotes printed on them. Some of the quotes include: “That old star can only take you part of the way. You got to help it along with some hard work of your own,” and “Thanks for bearing with us to the bear end.”

These new construction walls mean that the Piston Peak construction site will be expanded soon to include the boardwalk. But, for the time being, guests can still use the boardwalk behind the construction walls.

Further westward into Frontierland, also close to the boardwalk, is the closure of Westward Ho and Big Al’s. These new walls may be the start of construction walls that will completely close off the boardwalk from view, expanding the Piston Peak construction site further.
