Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has a revamped menu. Many items have changed or been removed, and there are new items available at all three meal times.
Kona Cafe Breakfast Menu Updates

The Polynesian Egg Platter is now $22 instead of $18. It still comes with two eggs any style, potatoes, and the choice of ham, spiced ham, bacon, or sausage. The fresh fruit poke and fresh-baked muffin were replaced by pineapple compote and mini pancakes with macadamia nut butter.
French Toast and Seasonal Pancakes were removed.
New is the Açai Bowl ($15) with tropical fruit, roasted macadamia nuts, and granola; and the Samoan Benedict ($18) with two poached eggs, pulled pork and Spam hash, togarashi hollandaise, and microgreens salad.
The rest of the breakfast entrees remain the same.
Ham and spiced ham are no longer listed as sides.
For kids, Minnie’s French Toast has been replaced by Pudge’s Peanut Butter French Toast ($9.50). It’s served with peanut butter sauce with a choice of two sides and one drink.
The Moana Smoothie was removed.
The Freshly Brewed Joffrey’s Coffee 100% Hawaiian Kona Press Pot (Serves Two) has gone from $10.25 to $10.75.
Kona Cafe Lunch Menu Updates
New to the lunch appetizers is Edamame Hummus ($11) with wonton crisp, carrots, and celery. The Crispy Pork-Vegetable Pot Stickers with soy velouté were replaced by Pan-Seared Pork-Vegetable Pot Stickers ($13) with soy cream and mirin teriyaki. The Glazed Chicken Wings ($15) now come with honey-soy wing sauce instead of sticky mirin-teriyaki wing sauce. The Bao Buns appetizer remains the same.
Disney has added a Combination Platter ($49) to the sushi roll options. This includes the Spicy Tuna Roll, California Roll, Nigiri, and Sashimi.
Some of the sushi rolls had no changes, but here are the new items and differences:
- California Roll: crab, cucumber, avocado – $18 (yuzu mayonnaise removed)
- *NEW* Dynamite Roll: hamachi, salmon, asparagus, carrot, yuzu kosho, wasabi sauce – $26
- Shrimp Tempura Roll: cucumber, carrot, cream cheese, jalapeño, avocado, eel sauce – $19 (added cucumber, carrot, cream cheese, jalapeño, eel sauce)
- *NEW* Vegetable Roll: asparagus, carrot, avocado, cucumber, roasted tomatoes – $16
- *NEW* Crab and Shrimp Roll: cucumber, carrot, eel sauce – $24
The Hamachi Tuna Roll and Vegetable Nigiri were removed.
The Poke Bowls remain the same. On the paper menu, Dashi Bowls and Burgers and Sandwiches were moved from their own sections to the entrees section. Burgers and sandwiches are now served with French fries or purple potato salad, instead of just French fries.
Kona Stir-Fry ($30 – $33) is now listed as including peppers, onions, and pan-Asian sauce instead of mirin-infused teriyaki sauce.
Salmon was removed and replaced by a Seasonal Fish dish ($32). Mirin-Teriyaki Steak Salad was replaced by the Sesame-Ginger Salad with Steak ($25): spring mix, edamame, mandarin oranges, sesame-ginger dressing, chow mein noodles.
The Vegetable Bowl was replaced by the Vegetable Curry Bowl ($22) with rice, tofu, and seasonal vegetables.
The Hawaiian Reuben and Big Kahuna Burger were removed. New is the Grilled Chicken Kimchi Sandwich ($19) with kimchi, provolone, spicy mayonnaise, and arugula; and the Mirin-Teriyaki Burger ($25) with pressed patties, seared pork belly, pineapple, and provolone.
The Turkey Bánh Mì ($19) and Pork Belly Noodle Bowl ($28) are unchanged.
A new specialty non-alcoholic beverage is the Lychee-Ginger Lemonade ($6.59) with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, lychee, lemon, and pomegranate, topped with ginger beer. Hibiscus Iced Tea ($5.99) and the Stitch Smoothie ($7) remain, but the Keiki Lemonade and Lilo Smoothie were removed.
Desserts aren’t listed on the paper menu outside the restaurant, but are the same according to the online menu.
The kids’ Grilled Chicken Taco was replaced by Seasonal Fish ($12.50), and the Kids’ Sushi is now the Kids’ Vegetable Sushi ($10.50). Vanilla Ice Cream Sundae was added to the kids’ side options.
Kona Cafe Dinner Menu Updates

The dinner menu has some extra items not available on the lunch menu. In addition to the above appetizers, dinner also has the new Tuna Tataki ($19) with avocado-wasabi sauce.
For sushi rolls, the Surf and Turf ($28) remains available at dinner, along with the new Dragon Eel Roll ($25) with cucumber, carrot, cream cheese, jalapeño, avocado, and eel sauce. The Polly Lolly Roll was removed.
The Asian-marinated Airline Chicken was replaced by Tamarind Barbecue Chicken ($17) with rainbow carrots and Spam fried rice. The Pork Chop was replaced by Beer-braised Pork Shank ($34) with cassava purée, Brussels sprouts, and bacon jam. Dinner also offers the new Mirin-Teriyaki Burger.
There are more Sautéed Red Quinoa options. In addition to chicken and shrimp add-ons, guests can also get it with mahi or tofu. These dishes now come with asparagus instead of roasted broccolini.
As at lunch, the Salmon has been replaced by Seasonal Fish. There’s also the new Char Siu Duck ($33) with farro, miso-cream sauce, and asparagus.
The Kona-braised Short Rib ($40) now comes with carrot-ginger purée, peanuts, and bok choy instead of creamy mashed potatoes and broccolini. The New York Strip Steak ($41) comes with black garlic mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and mirin-teriyaki chimichurri instead of smashed red bliss potatoes, sweet chili carrots, and roasted cipollini.
Truffled Mushrooms were removed from the side options. Instead, there is the new Crab and Shrimp Macaroni and Cheese ($10).
Disney has added Coconut Gimlet ($17.50) to the available cocktails. This includes Hendrick’s Gin, coconut lime, and cardamom bitters.
