EPCOT is a smorgasbord of food and drink, but also attractions with Lightning Lanes and shorter waits. Second only to Animal Kingdom in the number of options, here are the three best and worst Lightning Lane choices.
EPCOT Lightning Lanes
Single Pass

The Lightning Lane Single Pass is completely separate from the Multi Pass, and it lets you purchase access to one specific attraction.
At EPCOT, there is only one attraction available as a single Lightning Lane pass: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This attraction is not available as one of your three choices on a Multi Pass.
Multi Pass

Unlike the Single Pass, the Multi Pass allows you to choose up to three attractions in advance with specific arrival windows. After using your first Multi Pass experience, you may be able to choose an additional experience (subject to availability).
At EPCOT, the following attractions are redeemable through the Multi Pass:
You can choose one of the following:
Choose two other experiences, or all three, from this group:
- Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival
- Journey into Imagination with Figment
- Living with the Land
- Mission: SPACE
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Spaceship Earth
- Turtle Talk with Crush
Premier Pass

Beyond Multi Pass, you also have the option to use Premier Pass at EPCOT. Once you’ve purchased the pass for your chosen park and date, you can enter the Lightning Lane entrances one time for each participating attraction (the same as the Multi Pass, plus the Single Pass) at any time during the day. There’s no need to book return times or manage ride reservations. Simply tap in at the Lightning Lane entrance and enjoy the ride.
3 Best Lightning Lanes

Because of the tier system at EPCOT, we’re breaking down the best Tier 1 option (between Test Track, Frozen Ever After, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure) and two Tier 2 options.
- Tier 1: Test Track
- Average wait time: 63 minutes
- Highest recorded wait time: 305 minutes
We included both the average all-time wait time and the highest recorded wait because this attraction only reopened last year. Test Track 3.0 is still very popular and likely to have longer waits.
- Tier 2: Soarin’ (soon to be Soarin’ Across America)
- Average wait time: 33 minutes
- Tier 2: Mission: Space
- Average wait time: 21 minutes
Given the imminent retheme of Soarin’, we anticipate the wait times will increase, making it an even better option for Lightning Lane.
3 Worst Lightning Lanes

Generally, the worst Lightning Lane choices (when you have to choose) are shows that happen throughout the day. That’s because they can often seat everyone in the standby line, and you’ll be wasting the opportunity to use the Lightning Lane on something else.
In the case of EPCOT, those choices would be:
- Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival
- Turtle Talk with Crush
- Journey into Imagination with Figment
- Average wait time: 11 minutes
Both the short film festival and Turtle Talk are shows with rolling showtimes. Because of this, audiences in standby generally all get seated at the next show. Whereas Journey into Imagination rarely has a long line and is frequently a walk-on or close to it.
