Concrete is being pumped into Piston Peak National Park near the former Liberty Square Riverboat Landing at Magic Kingdom. The new Frontierland area replacing Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island is inspired by the Cars franchise.
Piston Peak National Park Construction
A concrete boom pump is in position right in front of the Riverboat Landing building. Though it will no longer be the dock for a riverboat, it will remain with updates.
The boom arm was pumping concrete in the ground directly in front of Riverboat Landing.
We previously saw the pump being used on the retaining wall that runs along the Frontierland boardwalk. The section of the wall closest to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is now solid concrete.
More of the wall is visible running to Liberty Square and the pump’s current position. In the lower center of the above photo is a stretch of concrete wall with rebar visible in front of it.
You’ll also notice the tall crane next to the wall. This appears to have shifted closer to Liberty Square and further from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
