Universal shared details of the exclusive Harry Potter-inspired Forbidden Forest experience coming to Universal Fan Fest Nights this summer.
Forbidden Forest: Search for the Hippogriff
During Forbidden Forest: Search for the Hippogriff, guests will venture into the forest around Hogwarts at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Led by a Hogwarts professor in small groups, guests will wind their way through the dense trees under the premise that you’re meeting for a nighttime lesson. But everything changes when the professor discovers a Hippogriff is lost.
Guests will face magical creatures, perform challenging spells, and aid the lost Hippogriff. Universal teased giant spiders and magical plants.
Last year, guests could encounter a Niffler, baby dragon, and Occamy in the Wizarding World. But the creatures in this experience have never appeared at Universal Studios Hollywood before.
Guests are encouraged to bring their wands and dress up in Hogwarts house robes. They’ll be able to use the wands during the immersive experience, although they aren’t required.
“This experience is really an exciting one for us,” says Stephen Siercks, senior director, entertainment production and executive producer of Universal Fan Fest Nights. “You’re not just along for the journey. You’re part of the journey.”
Fan Fest Nights is an after-hours, hard-ticket event at Universal Studios Hollywood.
