Disney Breaks News & Documentary Emmy Record with 96 Nominations

The Walt Disney Company has received a record-breaking 96 News and Documentary Emmy Awards across the National Geographic and ABC News brands.

National Geographic received 51 nominations, with “Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller” earning 25 nominations alone. Below is a list of all the shows that earned nominations:

  • “Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller” (25 nominations)
  • “Underdogs” (4 nominations)
  • “Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time” (3 nominations)
  • “Love+War” (3 nominations)
  • “Sally” (3 nominations)
  • “Secrets of the Penguins” (3 nominations)
  • “The Last Rhinos: A New Hope” (2 nominations)
  • “Lost in the Jungle” (2 nominations)
  • “Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember” (1 nomination)
  • “Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story” (1 nomination)

The winners will be announced during two separate ceremonies at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City. The news categories will be awarded May 27, while the documentary categories will be awarded on May 28.
