Behind the Magic: The Official Disney on Broadway Podcast is a new podcast offering made in partnership with iHeartRadio Broadway.

Hosted by Danielle Monaro, co-host of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Behind the Magic offers an inside look at the magic of Disney on Broadway productions. The very first episode, which was released on March 27, is all about Aladdin. The musical, now celebrating its 12th year on Broadway, centers on the beloved 1992 film of the same name.
Don Darryl Rivera (Iago), Michael James Scott (Genie), and Dennis Stowe (Jafar) are all featured in this first episode. Rivera originated Iago on Broadway. Stowe has been playing Jafar since 2022 and Scott has been the primary Genie since 2019.
Scott is slated to perform his final show on May 3, 2026. He has performed almost 4,000 shows as Aladdin’s magical pal and is the longest performing Genie in the history of the show.
Future episodes will highlight other Disney on Broadway shows including The Lion King, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, and more.
