There is scaffolding up in front of Disney’s Contemporary Resort as part of an ongoing refurbishment. Construction began in September 2024. Though originally scheduled for completion in September 2025, Disney later said it would last through July 2026 and then changed the timeline to the end of 2027.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort Refurbishment
The scaffolding is to the right of the resort’s main entrance. It reaches up to the lowest hotel room balconies. Temporary barriers block guests from walking near the scaffolding.
Work seems to be underway on the far right. There are construction walls and tarps on several balconies. During construction, nobody is staying in these rooms.
Meanwhile, back on the ground, crews had recently repainted some poles under the porte cochere. They were blocked by tape and barriers with “Wet Paint” signs.
