Han Solo (with Chewbacca, of course) has landed in Batuu West and is greeting guests by — where else? — the Millennium Falcon.

Han Solo and Chewbacca Meet and Greet

A smuggler-turned-hero of the Galactic Civil War, Han Solo uses his charm and cunning to make his way in the galaxy. With his best pal Chewbacca as his copilot, Han Solo is certain he can handle any mission and outfly any pilot in the galaxy.

Despite his name, Han does not operate Solo for his meet and greet: he’s accompanied by his trust co-pilot Chewbacca, and they arrive together at the Millennium Falcon.

Leia Organa was waiting for them under the Falcon, and they were apparently late.

A very animated discussion follows in which we get classic Han and Leia back-and-forth banter.

After resolving their Rebel (and personal) business, Leia departs and leaves the two scoundrels to us.

They walk around and engage with the crowd, including shaking hands.

They also engage in some repair work on the Millennium Falcon together before departing.

Meet and greet times are subject to change, but Han and Chewie were scheduled for these times on the first day of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge timeline shift:

  • 1:30 p.m.
  • 2:45 p.m.
  • 4:45 p.m.
  • 6 p.m.
  • 7:15 p.m.

Along with Han and Leia, you can also encounter Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland following the timeline shift to the original trilogy.

Timeline Shift

So far, the changes we’ve noticed around Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland leading up to the original trilogy timeline shift have been minimal. Oga’s Cantina recently reopened after a months-long refurbishment, but the work mostly involved general maintenance with only minor references changed, and after a short closure to “acquire more treasures,” Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities reopened with some new props around his shop.

The area around Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance remains set during the sequels, and Rey will continue to appear there.
