Luke Skywalker has returned to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, now part of the permanent character rotation as half the land’s timeline shifts. We caught Luke talking with the Mandalorian and Grogu.

Luke Skywalker

From his humble beginnings on the moisture farms of Tatooine, Luke Skywalker seized his destiny and trained in the ways of the Jedi. With his connection to the Force, Luke is determined to rebuild the Jedi Order and train the next generation.

We don’t expect Luke and Mando to frequently appear together, but they happened to bump into each other as Luke was exiting and Mando was entering. Luke will roam near the Black Spire Marketplace. A video shared by Disneyland did show Luke with Ahsoka Tano.

Luke previously appeared exclusively during Season of the Force in 2025. He wears his all-black look from Return of the Jedi and his appearances in The Mandalorian.

He will more often interact with R2-D2, his loyal droid who already appeared in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Meet and greet times are subject to change, but Luke was scheduled for these times on the first day of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge timeline shift:

  • 11 a.m.
  • 12 p.m.
  • 1:45 p.m.
  • 3:15 p.m.
  • 4:30 p.m.

Also newly appearing in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Darth Vader.

Timeline Shift

So far, the changes we’ve noticed around Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland leading up to the original trilogy timeline shift have been minimal. Oga’s Cantina recently reopened after a months-long refurbishment, but the work mostly involved general maintenance with only minor references changed, and after a short closure to “acquire more treasures,” Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities reopened with some new props around his shop.

The area around Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance remains set during the sequels and Rey will continue to appear there.
