PHOTOS: Leia Organa Meet & Greet Debuts at Disneyland for Galaxy's Edge Timeline Shift

Leia Organa is now meeting guests at Disneyland as the Galaxy’s Edge timeline shift officially changes today, April 29.

Leia Organa fights for freedom in the galaxy. She leads her forces with a compassionate heart and limitless will, determine to spread hope to all.

She can be seen in her The Empire Strikes Back-inspired outfit. This look actually debuted in Marvel’s 2015 Princess Leia comics. She then wore it in the 2017 video game Star Wars Battlefront II.

The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge connection comes, however, with the comic series Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Echoes of the Empire. The first issue was published on April 22, 2026, just a week before Leia began appearing in-person at the park.

Leia meets guests near the Millennium Falcon. Times may vary so be sure to check the Disneyland app, but on the first day here are her appearance times:

8:15 a.m.
9:30 a.m.
11:15 a.m.
12:30 p.m.
1:45 p.m.

Like all Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge characters, Leia will be roaming and won’t stand in one place during her sets. When we encountered her, she wandered in front of and behind the fencing surrounding the Falcon.

She was also seen fixing the Millennium Falcon.

Other characters you can now encounter in Batuu West include Darth Vader with his Imperial Stormtroopers and Luke Skywalker with R2-D2, who also had a surprise encounter with the Mandalorian and Grogu during our visit.

Timeline Shift

So far, the changes we’ve noticed around Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland leading up to the original trilogy timeline shift have been minimal. Oga’s Cantina recently reopened after a months-long refurbishment, but the work mostly involved general maintenance with only minor references changed, and after a short closure to “acquire more treasures,” Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities reopened with some new props around his shop.

The area around Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance remains set during the sequels, and Rey will continue to appear there.
