The construction site for Disneyland Resort’s new Coco ride is now clear of foliage and most debris. The ride will part of Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, behind the Incredicoaster.

The last few trees and plants have been removed from the left (north) side of the construction site. There are still palms outside the construction site, lining the road. As we previously reported, the sidewalk was demolished and a new perimeter fence was constructed. Scrim blocks road-level views of construction.

There is still a pile of rubble in the construction site from pavement demolition. It looks like crews have flattened the dirt site somewhat in the past few weeks.

In front of the scrim-covered perimeter fence and behind a smaller fence along Disneyland Drive, dozens of new trees have been planted. Though pretty short right now, as they grow they will most likely block the fence from view. This will look a little bit prettier to those driving by as well as further block the construction site.

Coco Ride

An animated scene with neon-lit buildings and fireworks showing a lively street performance with musicians and dancers, themed around the Day of the Dead. An audience watches from a boat.

During the Coco ride, guests will follow Miguel into the Land of the Dead, hear some of the Pixar’s movie’s iconic music, and see skeletal Audio-Animatronics characters. The concept art indicates it will be a boat ride but Disney has not confirmed many details.
