Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films, says he “can’t think of better hands” than Dave Filoni’s to handle the franchise.
Hamill Approves of Filoni

Lucasfilm announced in January that president Kathleen Kennedy was stepping down with Filoni taking over as president and chief creative officer, and Lynwen Brennan becoming co-president.
Hamill told USA Today that he’s been impressed by the “great stuff” Filoni has worked on including The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Hamill worked on both shows to bring a young Luke Skywalker back to screens.
Hamill said Filoni understands Star Wars “so well.” The CCO worked directly with George Lucas on the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
“George was a mentor to Dave, so he knows George’s sensibility,” Hamill added.
Filoni recently said the new animated Star Wars series Maul – Shadow Lord will bring some of Lucas’ original plans for the character to light.
