Muppet Labs Announces the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object (L.I.M.O.)

As updates keep rolling out for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we now know the name of the ride vehicle.

L.I.M.O.

Guests will likely not be surprised to learn that the vehicles for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster will be called what they were called all along: Limos. But, in this case, it's L.I.M.O. and it stands for Lengthy Immediate Motion Object. The super-powered vehicles were created by the team at Muppets Labs (see above) and are ready to get you and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem to the concert as soon as possible.

The super-powered vehicles were created by the team at Muppets Labs, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant, Beaker and are ready to get you and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem to the concert as soon as possible.

We now know that the revamped ride will open on May 26, 2026, right after Memorial Day on May 25. We previously reported on rumors that the ride would open Memorial Day weekend. To get the Muppets attraction done as quickly as possible, Disney closed the Aerosmith pre-show late last year and is altering very little of the ride itself.

The new version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster still takes place at G-Force Records, which was bought by Scooter’s uncle, J.P. Grosse. While touring the studio, guests will see celebrity cameos in the queue. They will encounter The Electric Mayhem in the recording booth. Just like Aerosmith, the band is late for a concert across town.

Check out the full list of songs performed by The Electric Mayhem that guests will experience on the ride.

People gather at night in front of the brightly lit Rock 'n' Roller Coaster guitar at a theme park attraction.

The giant guitar and upside-down car outside are being repainted. MuppetVision 3D props are expected to fill the queue. The show closed permanently last year to make way for Monstropolis.
